Multiple, Voice-annotated Exams

The Mobile Voice Annotated BVI 6400 BladderScan® calculates bladder volume using patented V-MODE® three-dimensional ultrasound technology. V-MODE® ultrasound is accurate, fast, and easy to use. Within seconds, the BVI 6400 measures ultrasonic reflections within the patient’s body on multiple planes, creates a 3-dimensional image of the bladder, and calculates bladder volume. Simply apply Sontac® ultrasound gel, select patient gender, position the scanhead, and press the scan button. An aiming icon on the instrument’s LCD screen guides the user to optimal positioning of the scanhead, to ensure accuracy of measurement. Providers can view and print BVI 6400 exam results, including ultrasound images, using ScanPoint®, Verathon’s online imaging and calibration service.

The BVI 6400 instrument can hold ten or more patient exams, each of which is associated with a voice annotation. After completing a patient exam, the provider simply records a brief voice message to identify the patient and other relevant exam information, and then proceeds to scan another patient, if desired. The voice recording is replayed when the associated exam is viewed on ScanPoint®, so providers can download multiple exams in one sitting.
